HOUSING IN LA ESCALA

The housing is located between the ruins of Empúries and the sea. The terrain has a slight slope from east to west. The housing is developed respecting the slope, adapting with small groups of steps both in the dwelling and in the garden. The parking is located in the west where the access road is. The housing program is developed staggered from west to east where the living room and the kitchen-dining room are located, a space that opens onto the pool and the garden.
The long south facade allows all rooms to have good sunlight in winter, and in summer, the sun is controlled through awnings. The orientation allows for natural ventilation, with openings at the bottom of the windows and access doors on the south facade, and openings at the top of the walls on the north facade. This system has prevented the need to activate the air conditioning installation that was prepared.
