TRANSFORMACIÓ DEL BARRI DEL REC

Competition for REC neighborhood in Igualada.
The proposal is based on the transformation of the Rec industrial area into a hub for various uses, activities, and events to revitalize and energize the neighborhood while preserving its identity and integrating it with the city and its natural surroundings. Based on the diagnosis, a series of actions are proposed across four levels: connectivity, mobility, urbanity, and ecology, which are implemented through different strategies. To achieve this, the current industrial zoning key will be changed to the REC KEY, a new regulation based on mixed uses and the preservation of its architecture.
